MUSIC FOR HAITI

SA SA FÈ

PIANO SOLO

SA SA FÈ SI WOUT LA MOVE/ SI W WÈ MAP VIV
Luc Beaulière’s “Sa Sa Fe” fuses elements of Haitian compas rhythm, jazz, gospel, and classical music. It invites listeners to travel along a challenging journey. Its bright, sunny beginning encourages us to stay the course during challenging times. Midway, unexpected hurdles cause us to pause, reflect, and then steadily move onward, faithful and confidence in the assurance of overcoming roadblocks by the grace of God.

What others are saying!

"... a very beautiful reharmonization of what is a beautiful tune to begin with."

“Luc has created a very beautiful reharmonization of what is a beautiful tune to begin with. In addition, his performance of the reharmonization is first class. Well done Luc!.”

Ron Miller,

Professor Emeritus of Jazz Studies at the University of Miami

"... a colorful journey with chromatic harmonies reminiscent."

“In Luc's masterful hands, "Sa sa fe" takes the listener on a colorful journey with chromatic harmonies reminiscent of Vince Guaraldi, phenomenal melodic improvisations on a par with those of Bill Evans, and syncopations as rich as those of Dave Brubeck, all united in Beauliere's own joyful style.

Dr. Allen Webber,

Professor of Music at Palm Beach State College

"The chord changes and colorful licks are just very enjoyable."

“What a great performance and a beautiful arrangement by Luc Beauliere...!!! The chord changes and colorful licks are just very enjoyable.”

Mr. Welmy Jean Pierre,

"The re-harmonization, improvisation, and interpretation are outstanding."

“You must hear this contemporary version of a traditional Haitian gospel song. The re-harmonization, improvisation and interpretation are outstanding. Luc, you are taking Haitian Jazz to higher levels. I am so proud of you my friend.”

Kiki Sanchez,

International Jazz Pianist

"A nice bland of Jazz, Gospel, and blues idioms."

“Impeccable playing! Reminiscent of Jazz greats like Michel Camilo and Oscar Peterson. A nice blend of Jazz, Gospel, and Blues idioms. I anticipate great things to come for Luc Beauliere. .”

Mr. Nerva Altino,

International Concert Pianist

"It's so nice to hear something with ideas from the past mixed with new and refreshing ideas."

“I just had the pleasure of listening to Sa Sa Fe, the newest composition and performance by Luc Beauliere. It’s so nice to hear something with ideas from the past mixed with new and refreshing ideas. I was pleasantly surprised with an unexpected modulation as much as the stride piano near the flurry at the end. Give this a listen! Certainly worth the time!!!.”

Mr. Wayne Miller,

Band Director/ Dreyfoos School of the Arts
